The Aaron Project

“I’m not picking up a heartbeat.” Every year, thousands of expectant mothers feel joy and anticipation in their lives turn unexpectedly to confusion and grief with the loss of a child through miscarriage, stillborn, or tubal pregnancy. Such an event can be an extremely devastating experience for anyone. Frequently, the pain of a lost child is compounded by feelings of guilt and anger as grieving parents anguish: “Why me?” “Did I do something wrong?” Does God care?” “A baby is not suppose to die!”

The Aaron Project mission is to extend comfort and encouragement to those who experienced the loss of baby with a comfort basket to those who sorrow. Up to date, we have given 20 baskets since this ministry started. With the holidays fast approaching, we are in need of your support through prayers, monetary donations and items from our “Wish List”.

Please contact Susan Hayward @628-2840 for more info or get a pamphlet by the RoseBud ministry in the foyer of the church.

Our Children’s Stewardship

Use some of these questions at dinner time to get the conversation headed in the right direction.
  • What does the word, blessing, mean?
  • What does it mean to honor God?
  • Why is it important for Christians to honor God?
  • Is there a blessing that you have received from God that you have not been using?
  • How can you begin to use this blessing and bring God honor?
  • What actions can you take to help others understand that God blesses us so that we may use those blessings to help others?

Stewardship Message

"Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.” - Matthew 25:46
In today’s readings we see that Jesus is the Good Shepherd who will care for us in our time of need. However, our relationship with Jesus should not be all take and no give. We, in turn, are expected to care for one another just as Jesus cares for us.

RCIA CORNER

Today at the 9AM Mass, our Inquirers publicly declared their intention to continue their journey toward initiation into the Catholic Church, and we accepted their intention. Thus begins the period of the Catechumenate. During this period, the Catechumens and Candidates begin (or deepen) their relationship with Jesus through the Liturgy of the Word by being dismissed and spending time in prayer with the Lectionary passages. This period center around Christian formation and conversion.
  • Become familiar with Christian teachings
  • Practice the Gospel way of life in their daily lives
  • Work with others through a spirit of charity and service to spread the gospel message. (Organizations, this is an ideal time to invite the Catechumens and Candidates to participate in your apostolic and social activities.)
Please pray for our Catechumens and Candidates that they will follow the call to discipleship.

Join members of all the local Catholic parishes and the larger Christian community as we stand “Every Day for Life” in front of the local abortion clinic during business hours (6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday - Friday), praying for the men, women, and children wounded by abortion.

Sign up for an hour online at http://www.40daysforlife.com/tricities or drop by on your lunch hour or after work.

For more information, contact Maria St. Hilaire at 619-3062 or tpsthilaire@yahoo.com.
