Concert by Ashana
June 5, 7:00PM
Community U U Church
2819 W. Sylvester, Pasco

Ashana’a music is a combination of New Age and Sacred vocals, ambient music for healing and relaxation, and cross-over classical and Christian. She sings beautiful renditions of Ave Maria and Kyrie and a new CD she is working on will feature a rendition of The Lord’s Prayer sung in Jesus’ native Aramaic tongue – a parishioner has heard an advance cut of it and it is beautiful as well. Her music is used to promote restful sleep and relief from stress; as part of hospice and grief counseling programs around the country; as an adjunct to healing and restorative therapies; and as an accompaniment to yoga, meditation and prayer practices. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and are available, along with her CD, at both locations of The Bookworm.

Stewardship Message

“Do not forget the Lord, your God…who brought forth water for you from the flinty rock and fed you in the desert with manna.” Deuteronomy 8:14-16 It takes great trust to follow the Lord in a life of stewardship. Yet, just as He provided for the Israelites, God will provide us with all that we need. We in turn must be willing to hold our many gifts – not with a clenched fist but rather with an open hand, ready and willing to share.

This Week’s Stewardship of Time and Talent Salute

We salute all our parishioners who gave blood during our blood drive this Friday. Thank you for giving the gift of life.

Everyday-Everyway Stewards
We are grateful this week for all steward disciples in our parish who try to become renewed in Christ.

Our Children’s Stewardship
Help children identify prayer triggers in their lives. A prayer trigger is a routine action or event that reminds us to say a special prayer. Examples of prayer triggers include: saying a prayer for those in danger whenever you hear a siren, thanking God for His blessings every time you wash your hands, or praying for someone who is sick whenever you are waiting in a check-out line.

Stewardship Message

'God so loved the world that he gave His only Son, so that
everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might
have eternal life.” John 3:16
How do you say “thank you” to the God who has given
His only Son to us? What can you give back in return? A
life of stewardship is the only way to truly show your
love and appreciation to God. A life of stewardship is a
life of giving back time, talent and treasure to God.
