Today and the next two Sundays, those preparing to enter the Church at Easter celebrate the Scrutinies. The Scrutinies are part of the Period of Purification and Enlightenment and are a celebration of healing and strengthening in the lives of the Elect and Candidates. They are meant to uncover all that is sinful in their lives and to strengthen all that is good in their lives. Please join them in their silent prayer for the spirit of repentance, a sense of sin, and true freedom as children of God. Also join the prayers of intercession with your resounding response.
