QUO VADIS DAYS on July 6-9

The Diocese of Yakima Vocations Office invites young Catholic men, ages 13-19, to QUO VADIS DAYS on July 6-9 at the Immaculate Heart Retreat Center in Spokane. It’s a 3-day camp to learn more about the priesthood, to deepen your faith, and to better discern God’s call in your lives. There will be priests, seminarians, and other young men like you gathered for these days. Our activities will include prayer, swimming, games, talks, and discussions. For more information, please e-mail Fr. Wilmar at Frwilmar@yakimavocations.org

Give the Gift of Life

Stewardship Message

Stewardship Message“If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” - Luke 9:23 We are not very good at “denying ourselves” in this society. Our current economic situation is evidence of what happens when people think they can have everything they want. Jesus calls us to set our own personal “wants” aside so that we have the resources to follow Him instead.

Stewardship Message

“But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth.” - John 16:13

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to help us know the truth.
So why not ask the Holy Spirit the truth about your stewardship?
Are you sharing your time and talent with God and others?
Do you give a fair amount of your treasure to do the work of the Lord?
Can you hear the Spirit’s answer to those questions in your heart now?
What more is He calling you to do?

This Week’s Stewardship of Time and Talent Salute

We salute all those serving in our armed forces, and for their families and loved ones as well as those who have died for our country.

Everyday-Everyway Stewards

Let us pray that we may look truthfully at the ways we share our time, talent and treasure and, with the grace of the Holy Spirit, strive to live as better stewards of all God’s gifts.
